Absolutely stunning tea room with the most amazing friendly hosts! Worth the wait in the queue 100%. My partners sandwich was huge and tasty and my home made warmed scone with lashings of cream and jam. The cakes in the display window were absolutely massive and attracted loads of customers.

Absolutely love this place! One of the best tea rooms in York and can’t recommend it enough. Food and drinks are 5 star quality and the cakes are delicious. We will definitely visit again. The staff are lovely. Ever so polite and give excellent customer service. My partner couldn’t finish some of her cake so they also kindly boxed it up for us! The aesthetics are beautifully decorated. Such a nice environment in one of the oldest over hanging buildings in England. They are well worth the visit!

Had wanted to visit for ages and managed to come to York when the tearoom was open.( we normally come in on Mondays when it’s closed ) Soo lucky to be able to get a table too. Such a lovely warm welcome. Had coffee and cakes and OMG the cakes were amazing and huge! Beautifully presented too. A lady on the next table said that as it was a Thursday there are no calories in cakes haha. The tearoom is tiny but absolutely stunning and Full of character and charm. All decorated in Christmas decorations which were beautiful and a beautful chandelier hung down near the stairs. Looking around the room you can imagine what it must have been like living there in the 1300s. We will definitely be back for more delicious cakes and will take some home next time too.
